It's been a long time since I've made any progress with Lap-time so I thought I'd post up a quick explanation.
I haven't heard any complaints about 1.3 so I haven't made any fixes to it. That is straightforward enough. So instead I have been developing the multiplayer component. This hasn't been as good as I had hoped. basically, the lag in everyday wireless internet is too big to make multiplayer useful. At the very best you can get an update in about 1.5seconds. It doesn't sound like much but on average it can take as much as 5-10 seconds which I'm not happy with.
Apart from that, I've had a lot of other things to keep me busy so my attention fell away from Lap-time. I'm going to re-focus now, back on the single player side of the plugin and flesh out the features a bit more.
The One Mile test will be replaced with One Kilometer. Although a few people have asked for custom tests instead, so I may end up going that route.
Another feature I'd like to play with is approximate power output. It will be VERY approximate as there are lots of variables you would have to know to get an accurate value, but I'm still willing to try it.
If anyone has any suggestions for what they want to see added/fixed in the next release, post them here or go to the Contact Us page.
Cheers,
Scott
